Karen C. Rudnicki

Karen C. Rudnicki’s practice focuses on the defense of school districts and municipalities in New York’s state and federal courts. Prior to joining Silverman & Associates in 2015, Karen led the family law practice of a local litigation firm where she also worked in the fields of matrimonial law, elder law, business law, and personal injury. Prior to that, Karen was the chief researcher for a Nazi-looted art restitution case in federal court. During law school, Karen worked for the New York-based non-profit Legal Information for Families Today; for Lawyers Without Borders; for the National Labor Relations Board; and for Judge Bernadette D’Souza, Civil District Court, Orleans Parish. In 2012, she was awarded a Public Interest Law Foundation grant.


Karen graduated from Boston University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Art in Art History, and a Minor in Political Science. After college she worked as a literary agent for years and then at a retail brokerage, where she earned her licenses to trade securities. She graduated from Tulane University Law School in 2013 where she was Articles Editor, Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law, and a member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot court team and was one of four students selected to represent Tulane in the annual Vis tournament in Vienna, Austria. Karen has been admitted to practice in the State of New York since 2014. Karen has volunteered extensively in after-school programs and she is an avid reader, traveler, fly fisher, and skier.
